People in Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province celebrated the Water Splashing Festival on Wednesday. Annually observed in mid-April, the three-day festival marks the New Year for the Dai ethnic group. They believe that pouring water on each other can bring good luck for the coming year.
