





Wing Shya’s photos are so inspiring through its sensual use of color and movement. I love the grittiness in all of his photos. I also feel more emotional connection to the pictures that aren’t so tack sharp, which I wish photographers nowadays won’t focus much on. It’s what you convey in the images, and not so much the absolute clarity on the image. It doesn’t hurt that he’s the exclusive photographer and graphic designer for Wong Kar Wai’s films like In the Mood for Love and 2046, or has worked with Rodarte for their fashion campaign with Maggie Cheung (seen here).
